Description:  This painting shows the country of Shirley's mother and is known as Walakarri, near Shirley's home community of Mulan, west of Balgo. 

The country here has sandy soils between the low sand dunes and is excellent country for getting karnti, or bush pototo. 

The tali, or sand dunes are shown, surrounding the small vine, along whose roots the karnti grows.
